Newfound brain network ‘SCAN’ implicated in Parkinson’s disease – How does the brain coordinate complex, multi-step actions? A newly discovered brain network, called the SCAN network holds the key. Turns out, that over-connectivity of this network with Parkinson’s-related brain regions is consistently associated with Parkinson’s disease.
